This month our Spotlight is on Cattaneo Electric and work they recently completed for one of DuPage County’s largest not-for-profit organizations.
Little Friends in Warrenville, through their Residential Services Program, helps adults with autism and other developmental and physical disabilities, live in homes as independent members of the community with support provided based on each individual’s needs. They received a grant to replace a forced main sewer line, pump and lift station at one of their Group Homes. However, those funds only covered the new pump, station, parts, and installation costs, and NOT the electric service costs.
Cattaneo Electric assessed the situation and donated all materials and labor to install new electric from the house to the control box, install the control box, and check operation of the new pump. IBEW Local 701 journeyman Bryan, along with Angel, a third-year apprentice, completed the work in one day.
“Cattaneo Electric understands what we do here at Little Friends and they are always available to lend a hand. Donating this work really helped us out of a costly situation, said Tom Pendziszewski. “We are very grateful to have a friend like Peter and his team to help us out when we need any professional electrical work done in the agency.” Tom leads the organization’s Maintenance Division.
