The 2026 Tour the Trades Day is an opportunity to showcase the construction building trades in DuPage County through field experiences at several different trade affiliate locations. This program, offered as part of the DuPage County-Wide Institute Day, is designed to better educate our county’s school counselors and teachers to post high-school education opportunities by exposing them to alternate career paths that they can then share with their students. Tour the Trades Day will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 8am – 3pm. The day includes breakfast, lunch and transportation to each location. This year, the tour will be visiting the the Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters in Elk Grove Village; Laborers’ District Training Center in Carol Stream; and the North Central Illinois Finishing Trades Institute in Aurora. Bus transportation and lunch will be provided.
Tour the Trades Day begins and ends at the IBEW Local 701 Union Hall, located at 28600 Bella Vista Parkway in Warrenville. Please arrive by 7:45am for complimentary breakfast and coffee; you must check in by 8:10am to receive credit for the course.
