A Joint Safety Forum held on Monday, May 11, 2026 at the IBEW Local 701 Union Hall titled Navigating the Electrical Safety Compliance Triangle was hosted by PowerForward DuPage on behalf of the NECA/IBEW Local 701 Safety Committee. In addition to IBEW Local 701 members and signatory contractors, this forum included participation from the Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago (ECA) as well as the Northeastern IL Chapter, NECA.
Construction Safety Council instructor, Tom King delivered an informative 2-hour presentation to approximately (40) attendees addressing the NFPA 70-70E-70B codes and communications necessary to keep workers free from harm. When applied collectively, these codes complete the electrical safety compliance triangle.
