The holidays are going to be a little brighter for the children of Little Friends and DuPage Pads.
Each year, the IBEW Local 701 hosts their annual Kids Christmas Party and occasionally not all the presents are claimed. This year, the local decided to donate the remaining gifts to both agencies. Little Friends helps children and adults with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities, serving more than 900 people throughout ten counties and 51 school districts across northern Illinois and Indiana each year.
DuPage Pads provides shelter, meals, and supportive services to over 1,200 individuals a year.
In all, over 120 presents were distributed and both agencies were extremely gracious and appreciative of the donation.
