PowerForward DuPage and the IBEW Local 701 worked together on a new project during the 2023 holiday season….with Santa!
We partnered with Santa’s Christmas Charities in presenting “Santa’s Holly Jolly Sleigh Tour”, a 12-night event that takes Santa and friends throughout 80 neighborhoods of Naperville. Santa’s Reindeer Crew decorated the sleigh the weekend before Thanksgiving. Each night of the tour, Santa’s sleigh was “POWERED” by one of the following signatory contractors:
• Continental Electrical Construction Company
• Leyden Electric
• Cattaneo Electric
• Preferred Electric
• Lombardi Electric
IBEW Local 701’s Business Manager Tony Giunti, Assistant Business Manager Frank Gravina, along with Business Representatives Bob Perreault, John Roti, and Albert Lomeli, and Membership Organizer Brian Schulz, teamed up with the IBEW Local 701 RENEW Committee’s President Nick Johansen, and decorated a donated flatbed trailer with a custom-made Santa chair, red benches for the event sponsors, and of course, LIGHTS!
Santa’s Holly Jolly Sleigh Tour kicked off Saturday, November 25th and ran nightly through Wednesday, December 6th. A recap video is below!
