For the third year in a row, PowerForward DuPage has partnered with KidsMatter, a youth-oriented human service organization working to help young people build developmental assets including positive values, healthy relationships, and self-esteem. And we recently provided specialized field experiences for their 2026 Springboard Summer Series; a class for students interested in construction management and the building trades.

Each Monday and Thursday in June and into July, students would meet at PowerForward DuPage to hear where they would be going for that day’s experience; Thursdays were reserved for visiting a different trade affiliate’s apprenticeship training center each week.

During this summer program, students had the opportunity to visit with and learn more about:

  • DuPage JATC and Local 701
  • Local 502 Cement Masons
  • SMART Local 265
  • Local 63 Ironworkers
