These are not drop-in classes. You must call the JATC to register. No class will be scheduled without a minimum number of registered students. Please note: Most Classes Will Receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

NFPA 70-E Arc Flash/Arc Blast

2 weeks | Oct. 1 & 8 | Jan. 7 & 14 | May 5 & 12 |
Learn the safe ways of working with power. A requirement at Fermi and Argonne.

Transformers

4 weeks | Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 |
Single Phase, Three Phase, Proper grounding and bonding methods will be discussed.

Photovoltaics

3 weeks | Sept. 24, Oct. 1 & 8 |
Learn how to capture the power of the sun through photovoltaic panels.

Fire Alarm

6 weeks | Sept. 17, 24, Oct. 1, 8, 15, 21 |
Begin at the basic systems and end with addressable systems and their components.

Conduit Bending

4 weeks | Oct. 15, 22, 29 & Nov. 5 |
Scope covers fundamentals of mechanical and hydraulic benders.

Medium-Voltage Cabling

4 weeks | Jan. 5, 12, 19 & 26 |
Medium and Hi voltage Cable termination and splicing 15KV through 35KV.

Fiber Optics

3 weeks | Oct. 29, Nov. 5 & 12 |
Learn how to prepare, terminate and splice Fiber.

Security

3 weeks | Dec. 3, 10 & 17 |
Hands-on with explanation of how these systems work.

Advanced Conduit Bending

4 weeks | Mar. 11, 18, 25 & Apr. 1 |

Motor Control

Temperature Control

New equipment has been added to teach the latest in web based temperature control programming.

Closed Circuit TV

Identify and wire many different types of cameras. Learn recording and displaying images.

Sound Class

Learn the proper methods of matching speakers and amplification of sound.

Instrumentation
