Debbie Erbach, a founding member of the IBEW Local 701 Women’s Committee, is thanked in puppy hugs at Anderson Humane’s Mega Adoption event earlier this summer.
The IBEW Local 701 Women’s Committee has been busy this summer with a variety of volunteer activities. Their most recent events included a very successful clothing drive for WINGS, resulting in one of the largest collections of women’s, men’s and children’s clothing items and supplies the organization has ever seen! Special thanks to electrical contractors Continental Electric and Gibson Electric for collecting donations at their offices. Also, a huge thank you to the IBEW Local 701 Business Representatives who helped load the truck!
In June, the committee also participated in the American Cancer Society Walk held at Grant Park and volunteered at Anderson Humane’s Mega Adoption Event, held in partnership with Elgin Subaru. Member Debbie Erbach said, “A day can’t get any better than spending it surrounded by puppies!”
