PowerForward DuPage recently attended the official opening of the Naperville Jaycees “smart park”, a 12,500 square foot outdoor office plaza that is now open to the public. Featuring permanent seating for 71 guests, 26 electrical outlets and two quick-charging stations, Naperville Jaycees Park is nestled between the Naperville Municipal Center and the city’s Riverwalk.

Free public WiFi is available throughout the park and various shade pavilions provide sun protection. Each of the pavilion trellises include motion-activated lights that turn off after 15 minutes if no motion is detected. Other features include water-permeable pavers and a rain garden. Solar panels, which produce enough energy to power the park, have been installed on the roof of the neighboring Municipal Center.

PowerForward DuPage member contractor Advanced Data Technologies provided the installation services throughout the eco-friendly workspace and PowerForward DuPage was one of 15 donors to the park, which was privately funded.
